In each language section, candidates are required to attempt 40 out of 50 questions.

General Test

For certain undergraduate programs, where a General Test is utilized for admission, candidates should consider this option as well.

5. Marks

      Marking Scheme:

      +5 marks for each correct answer.

      -1 mark for each incorrect answer.

      No marks deducted for unattempted questions.

      Total Marks: The exam is typically out of 600 marks.

6. Stages of Selection Process

  1. Examination: Candidates take the CUET.

7. Applications and Selection Statistics

 

The application for the examination can only be submitted via the online form. Steps to be followed:

       Click on the Register button on the page.

       Read the application instructions.

       Select the 'Click here to proceed' button located at the bottom of the page.

       Complete online registration.

       Fill out the online application form for each of the courses the candidate wants to apply for.

       Upload scanned copies of the candidate's photo, signature, and any other necessary documents.

       Make the payment for the exam fee using a debit/credit card, net banking, or an SBI bank challan at any branch.

       Print a copy of the completed application form for future reference

      Number of Applicants: In 2023, over 14 lakh candidates applied for the CUET.

      Selection Rates: Approximately 20-30% of candidates secure admission, depending on university cut-offs and program demand.


8. Age Criteria

There is no upper age limit for candidates applying to CUET, but candidates must have completed their higher secondary education (Class 12) or an equivalent qualification.

 Tribe (ST) candidates
